The first time I read Sapphire Wiki's novel "Push" was my junior year in High school. Since then Harlem hasn't been viewed the same. Through her short novel, Sapphire was able to redefine struggle, optimism, and the dangerous equilibrium of love and hate emotions. When the movie came out, you could imagine i was front row opening weekend. What an experience, I tell ya ; chills, tear, laughter all in an hour and forty-nine minutes. Mo'Nique and lead star Gabourey Sidibe did a wonderful job, and it all paid off. CONGRATS Mo'Nique for your well deserved Golden Globe nomination.
